Hello!

Pulaski parent here. My son is a kindergartener at Pulaski and is a part of the RGC program. I wanted to come on here and share my family’s experience thus far as well as help answer any questions prospective parents may have.

The cliff notes version is this: The school prioritizes academic rigor, the administration is great, the faculty is very experienced, the fundraising arm is strong, and parent involvement is high.

In more detail, RGC is a gifted bilingual program that falls within Pulaski’s International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. This means that students are receiving an IB curriculum with the added bonus of it being taught in Spanish and English. This program is intended for native Spanish speakers to receive an accelerated education steeped in their cultures and traditions. The goal is to promote bilingualism and biliteracy and create a worldly adult.

You apply for admission through the CPS Go portal. Pulaski is in its own category – EL RGC. Once you apply your child will need to take an entrance exam to gauge Spanish comprehension. One of the entrance exams will actually be taking place at Pulaski on 11/7/26.
