      Hello,

Does anyone know when the Academic Center results will be communicated or published? I came across a date of March 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM listed as the release time for GoCPS K–8th–grade elementary school notifications.

Can someone confirm if this date is correct for the Academic Center results as well?

      Thank you,

Does all the offers show up at the same time? How do we view them?

That’s me right lol I am so confused with there website.

My daughter got an offer for one school but I don’t see any other info if we’re waitlisted. So I am wondering if all of the offers are listed right away.

      Hi,

Can someone please tell me what admin decline means? We got an offer from a lower choice school but the 2 other selections we have admin decline.

You can only get one offer. In order to be considered for any other schools you have to decline the offer and get in the waitlists for the other schools. If the other schools are Lane or Whitney, very unlikely there will be an AC offer.

New to CPS and Chicago. How should we evaluate the difference between an Academic Center and a RGC. My daughter has an offer for Whitney AC and Pritzker for 7th grade. Thank you!

        Congratulations on getting into both.
My child is currently in Pritzker gifted program and got accepted to Whitney Young academic center. We accepted WY’s offer because AC has a 6 year curriculum and liked the environment of the school when we went to their open house. Pritzker gifted program is fine, they study one year ahead of their grade. There are pros and cons to both, for example, AC is fast paced and will be harder to get in if your child is considering Walter Payton or Northside for high school as they will need to get all As. They will also be on a high school campus. Both are great options IMO and I hope you pick one that is right for your child!

I would take the Whitney Young offer. Your kid will have a guaranteed seat until the end of high school. If you choose Pritzker, you’ll have to repeat the same process once again for high school.

I have a freshman at Whitney Young and he absolutely loves it. Academics are top notch, and the kids are some of the nicest I’ve encountered.

Thank you everyone! This is very helpful. We are slightly apprehensive about how intense the AC might be; my daughter is certainly a self-starter am academically strong but also enjoys her after school music/sports and would not want to give that up. The benefit of not having to take the HS test seems huge and pushing in the direction of taking the WY AC offer. Thank you again for the insights.

I am feeling similar. My son is at a neighborhood school right now that has almost no homework (as a policy) and I am concerned about how this transition will be when he is also interested sports, music, etc. and hasn’t had to self-manage too much yet.

After school activities are important and matter as well. If this helps, the gifted exam is more harder than the HS entrance exam. Gifted exam tests cognitive potential and HS exam tests academic achievement in math and reading.

Angii, if you’re not seeing an offer on your main screen, you have to click on the application to see where you’re waitlisted. I stared at the screen for a very long time thinking it was broken
