I was recently informed by a school that had used JCC in the past that they are ‘no longer an approved provider’ for CPS. This [and other various other pandemic related issues with aftercare] have affected many schools. CPS in general seems to be having trouble with providing aftercare anymore in the same way it used to do so. Has anyone else experienced this? If so at what schools? As a working parent I find this very frustrating. The uncertainty about aftercare, if it exists, the cost, the programming, and the hours, is difficult when trying to decide which school to accept. Perhaps a resource [excel sheet] could be started on aftercare programs at CPS.

My daughter is in K at Pritzker and the school was also utilizing JCC. Our LSC said that they are looking into other options so I would guess your school’s leadership/administration is also doing the same thing. I can’t imagine a school abandoning aftercare when so many of us work.
