HI everyone!
As kindergarten selections and results finalize, I wanted to start a discussion on school aftercare.
It feels like a necessity for many families, especially if you are shifting from full time daycare to pickup at 3pm!!
What is everyone planning here? It looks like there are school specific options along with the CPS parks option offered at many schools.
What is the typical reasoning for one over the other? Anything to share on how the programs fare?

I would guess your school has a specific aftercare vendor that they currently work with. My kids go to two different schools and each of them have different aftercares that they utilize. I would recommend going with whatever your school offers – it would be easier to meet friends/classmates that way. And most of the time, they stay at the school so you don’t have the added stress of making sure your child got to the aftercare program. About a month into the academic calendar, schools also offer after school clubs/programs that your kiddo can sign up for, so that’s also something to consider.
