GuestMy kid is 12 on the waitlist for Amundsen IB. Does anyone have an idea of how much the waitlists will move? Thanks,

GuestOur counselor told us that the choice school wait lists move a lot, 12 seems like a great number.

GuestI don’t have experience with the waitlist, but I can say that we received offers to a SE school as well as Amundsen IB and my son has accepted at the SE school. So that’s one seat open on the waitlist at Amundsen! I know many other parents who had a similar plan, so it seems that the waitlist could move quite a bit and you could be in a good spot at #12.

GuestHi! When initial offers went out, my child was #10 on the Amundsen IB waitlist. Now they are #17. I emailed CPS, and they said that the reason the # is higher is because other students with better HSAT scores have added themselves to the waitlist. Regardless, it does not appear as if the waitlist is moving at this point. Does anyone have any insight into this? Thanks!

GuestMy child in the same boat. They were low single digits and now they are in the teens. I did email the school, but have not heard back about if waitlist offers have gone out at all. I did notice there are two types of WLs which I didn’t notice previously. I’m curious if offers went out for Priority and they don’t have enough seats for General WL students.
