I have been contemplating if it is worth moving to a different tier, like nearby to where we are now. Would moving now even make a difference?

Worth noting they rerank tiers each year. My address has been 3,3,4,3 the last 4 years. So, I certainly wouldn’t make a move because of a tier as the tier isn’t static.

So we moved to a different tier, not specifically for school purposes though. We are already in an RGC we are happy with but will try testing again to be in one closer to home that opens in 1st grade.
My understanding was if you didn’t have your tier updated before the application closed, a new tier will not apply for the initial round of lottery spots. If you update tier after application closes, it will apply to the rolling waitlist beyond the initial round of offers though.
