GuestHello, I couldn’t find this answer anywhere else I looked. My kid is currently on general waitlists (rising 3rd grader). I’m confused by the May 2 vs. May 19 dates.
When is the earliest that he might receive an offer? Is it right after May 2 (the deadline by which others may have declined), or will these offers not occur until after May 19?

GuestI think current offers expire May 2nd. If you didn’t test in the Fall, there is still an opportunity for Spring testing. For those Spring testing, they can only get onto waitlists. My guess is that they take that time between May 2nd and May 19 to allow for Sprint testing and to re-sort waitlists (if applicable).
Elementary waitlist offers go out 10am starting May 19th. That is also when families can add a school if they didn’t previously add one.

GuestI think May 19 is when waitlists will start to move. May 2 is the date to accept existing offers, and the time between May 2 and May 19 is more for administrative purposes. What are the schools you are looking at? My son is also a rising 3rd grader and we are also waiting for waitlists to move 🙂

GuestHi, we are at #10 for both Poe and McDade, #18 for Lennart, and very low for Bronzeville and Skinner West.
I want to add NTA on May 19.

GuestInitial round offers are set to expire on May 2nd. The period between May 2nd and May 19th will likely be used to accommodate spring testers and re-sort waitlists. Stay alert because families only have two business days to accept or decline the offer before it expires and goes to the next student on the waitlist.
