Hello. Can’t find an answer to these questions but I apologize if it’s been asked 100 times before.
1. Is the final grade used in the SEHS calculation an average of the 4 quarters? I ask because my son received one B in Social Science and I’m wondering if he can get the final grade up to an A if he does well this quarter.
2. Which 4 grades are looked at? Math and science I know. But do they look at “CHGO READING FRMWK” or “WRITING STANDARDS”. The terms in quotes are from Aspen so I can’t tell which one is considered ELA.
3. I know that straight A’s equals 450 points. But what does 3 A’s and a B equal?
TIA

There is a separate field in Aspen for final grades. When Q4 grades are posted, final grades will be too. I think they’re cumulative, but your child’s teacher(s) would probably have a better idea of how precisely final grades are calculated in/by Aspen.
The Reading grade is from the Chicago Reading Framework course, not Writing. 3 As and a B is 412.5 points.
