Risk losing place gained through lottery?

Hi, just want to be sure —

We lotteried into Kindergarten, and we’d like to lottery again for 1st Grade, applying to a couple Choice schools and a couple selective enrollment programs, too.

I do want to make sure we’re *not* putting our current place at our current school at risk, though.  We do get to keep that place unless we were to accept an offer elsewhere, right?

Yes, you are correct. You only lose you spot at the current school if you accept and enroll your child at the new school.
