curious.. how did the core score compare to the reading/math MAP/NWEA scores for your child?

Will CPS release SE exam results on a rolling basis or only results for exams taken through 11/21? My DD took the 12/5 exam.

I reached out to OAE and was informed that no students who took the SEHS exam after November will received their results until application results are released in the spring.

Hello
I see two parents posted their scores, great job kiddos. Its been a while since my oldest child tested over 4 years ago, but when he did the results came in 3 scores, Reading, Math and Gifted RGA:. Are gifted results posted in this same manner???-
ESGuest
You may be confusing with elementary schools. Elementary kindergarten scores come like you said: Reading, Math, RGC.
There are no gifted scores for high school.

I have two sons, 6th son is taking academic center test next week. 8th grader took the HS exam in Dec, won’t get results until decisions come out in March or April. What a long wait.

Has anyone heard anything about when high school result are coming? At this point, everyone who retook the NWEA has done so, I believe, and I know that the audition-based schools like Chi Arts did callbacks this week. So that only leaves the SE exam–are those testing dates finished? If so, I don’t know what CPS would be waiting on to need to extend releasing results beyond the usual date in late March? They really need to avoid dragging this out. It’s been a rough year for most people.

BgGuest
We all wish but in typical CPS fashion families are considered last. The least they could do is define an announcement date.
-
Neda SGuest
I know, right? But here we are… the day of days.
-
-
Lucy JGuest
Absolutely–we’d be happy just to know a date!

Looks like the results will be released until April 30th

Yes, not sure what the holdup is, since testing has been done for awhile and auditions are long over? It drags on…

My daughter took her NWEA MAP in November and I received an email last month from CPS that, on audit, they found issues and were renormalizing some scores. Her math increased a point and her reading stayed the same. This could account for some result reporting delays.
I *think* this is the same audit that founding testing irregularities and motivated CPS to drop NWEA Map testing moving forward.
Just a week and a bit to go!
-
Lucy JGuest
Thanks for the info! Do you mean there were new irregularities found in audit this year, apart from the issues they found last year with schools letting kids reset new answers, etc.? I hadn’t heard of that.
Our family is eager to have this whole process behind us!

Happy Friday Everyone! It’s a BIG day today. We have been waiting for this day since our child was in kindergarten. Time has gone by so fast. At the end of the day, we should celebrate it with some champagnes. Cheers!!
