570 Tier 4, accepted 1st Choice WY.
It’s interesting that CPS is showing waitlist numbers now, previously there was no indication as to where you may be. We have been in the SEES system for 9 years and I think I would prefer not to know…
As for AC waitlist, historically they have ‘overoffered’ expecting a certain amount of declines so generally the waitlist doesn’t move. This is different from ES where there’s a set number of seats and based on an initial number of vacancies, offers sent, then if any additional students leave, the seats get filled. But it’s CPS and anything could happen so really hope for the best for anyone close to the top of the waitlist

My first question is where do I find my child’s score? Were are Tier 3.
My child was waitlisted for our top choices.
#1- WY
#2- KenwoodSomeone said that this is the first year that CPS has given the placement on the waitlist. Has anyone seen a case where a student has been offered a spot after being waitlisted?

I just got some clarification from CPS about the waitlist. So, let’s say I’m ranked #2 on the waitlist and I’m in tier 3. That means I’d be #2 on the rolling waitlist for tier 3, and they offer spots based on how many seats are left in each tier. Oh, and for selective enrollment programs where they rank based on points, if kids with higher points join, that could shake up my spot too. If there aren’t two kids in my tier turning down offers, then there won’t be any more spots opening up in my tier. (Oh, and in the past, those extra offers after the first round weren’t connected to my tier…)

Based on past postings, I’ve learned that Lane and Whitney typically don’t extend offers from the waitlist. However, I’m curious if the process is the same this year. Has anyone received an offer after the initial round?

I got a response from OAE that they have not extended offers.
