I feel like someone posted about this last year, but I can’t find it. Do the younger kids get an easier test or is there some kind of weighting that happens? I know for the Classical test, you probably just need to know how to read or do basic math, but for the gifted test, do they make adjustments? My older kid took the test when she was 5 years, 6 months. But younger kid will be just 4 years, 2 months. The developmental spread there is massive. Does anyone have any official information?

Are students who test earlier at a disadvantage due to their younger age or
because they have less time to prepare?
No. Test results are normed to the
student’s age/grade at the time of testing. Therefore, we strongly recommend
that families select from available dates and make arrangements to have their
child attend their scheduled date. It’s also important to note that scheduling an
earlier test date will allow families a greater opportunity to reschedule their
session if their child is sick or they are otherwise unable to attend their scheduled
testing appointment.
