Hi,
I have a 1st grade student in a classical program. If we were thinking of moving her to another sees program for 2nd grade, how does that work? Does she retest? If so, does it give up her current seat in her current program? The cps site doesn’t seem to make it very clear what the process looks like.

Yes, you need to apply for any programs that you’re interested in and retest. You only lose your seat at your current school if you ACCEPT a different offer. If you decline, ignore, or don’t receive an offer, you keep your current seat.
