GuestFirst time CPS applicant for my current K (will be applying for Grade 1). I am currently ranking Choice schools, and I see that schools that Edison, Bell, Skinner, etc are available to rank, but I thought these schools required testing and are not eligible for lottery admission? Am I missing something? Also planning to apply to these schools via the testing process, but confused whether these schools have both a general curriculum that can be attended via lottery and a separate curriculum only via SEES?

GuestBell and Skinner west also have neighborhood programs that can be entered via the choice lottery. Edison RGC does not have a choice option but Edison Park does (that may have been what was coming up). To get into the RGC or Classical at a neighborhood school you have to test in as you noted.
