ParticipantI have been trying to sift through viable options for my kiddo for kinder. We need before care because my husband and I start work at 7:30. It seems that only select wealthy schools have that as an option… Lincoln, Mayer, Wildwood, Coonley… Basically all schools it’s impossible to get a lottery offer from.
I calculated that it would be $600-$1000 a month to hire a babysitter for the morning. I have heard that some people have other parents from parent fb pages watch their kids. I’m not sure how much that would cost or if I am comfortable with a stranger who is not a childcare professional watching my small child.
Any insights or advice is highly appreciated as this is stressing me out.

GuestSome cps have AM care as a paid option through outside companies- one of these companies is called Right at School.

GuestI know Peirce has before care (I think through Right at School) because my co-worker uses it and drops her kids off right at 7 when it opens.
