Has anyone successfully transferred into a selective enrollment high school?

I know of at least one child who has transferred into Whitney Young after his freshman year. I have no idea what the criteria are.
I know transfers happen, but I doubt there are that many spaces available.

Transfers can and do happen for Selective Enrollment high schools, but whether a school offers the opportunity varies year to year, and how many spots varies as well. It is possible, though!

so FYI, it is possible. i don’t know how they select or any info but we just filled out the transfer application and waited…
